On Thursday, Prior + Partners is co-hosting a planning innovation insights and showcase event with Connected Places Catapult to discuss what comes next for digitally enabled strategic planning.

Prior + Partners has been working with Connected Places Catapult (CPC), the UK’s government-backed innovation accelerator for cities, transport and place, as part of their Future of Planning 2.0 programme to develop a prototype that integrates geospatial data across land use, transport and energy sectors to support strategic planning across England. The event builds on this collaboration and on Prior + Partners’ growing digital innovation work, including the recent launch of Place+, our digital placemaking platform designed to support more informed, collaborative and strategic decision-making across towns, cities and regions.

As Spatial Development Strategies begin to take shape across England, and as the scale and complexity of planning decisions continues to grow, this session will explore how shared evidence, and digital tools can strengthen strategic coordination and accelerate delivery. The event will feature insights from CPC’s latest planning research, a live demonstration of our CPC digital planning prototype, and a panel discussion with voices from policy, practice and academia, which includes Prior + Partners’ Director Simon Mattinson.

To note, places are limited, but if you’re interested to finding out more about the event, please visit the event page or contact events@priorpartners.com.
