Prior + Partners will be in attendance at UKREiiF 2026.
As part of this year’s programme, we are hosting a panel session in partnership with Cratus Group, bringing together senior voices from across policy, local government and the development sector to tackle the urgent question of planning reform and what it will take to turn the government’s growth agenda into delivery.
From deadlock to delivery: time to disrupt the planning system?
Tuesday 19th May, 1.15–2.15pm, Cratus Group Pavilion, Royal Armouries, Leeds
The UK’s planning system is at a critical moment. With ambitious housing targets and national reform underway, the window to turn intent into delivery is narrowing. This session explores how digital technology, innovative practice, and more disruptive thinking can break long-standing deadlocks – transforming planning into a proactive driver of housing and economic ambition.
Chaired by Tom Venables FRTPI (Prior + Partners), the panel will feature:
- Beth Dugdale – Deputy Chief Executive, Cambridge Growth Company;
- Brett Leahy – Executive Director for Environment and Communities, Enfield Council;
- Bridget Wilkins – Head of Plan Making, Digital Markets and Growth, MHCLG;
- Ed Mayes – Executive Director, Development, Lendlease;
- Jan Bessell – President, Royal Town Planning Institute.
