Prior + Partners is sponsoring this year's Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) summer conference on Monday 22 June.

As England enters a transformative period of strategic spatial planning – with Spatial Development Strategies beginning to take shape across the country – the TCPA’s summer conference will bring together those working at the centre of this change.

The conference will explore how strategic planning can drive inclusive and sustainable growth, closing gaps between places, improving health outcomes, coordinating infrastructure, and shaping long-term spatial investment.

Prior + Partners’ Director Shaun Andrews will chair one of the three panel sessions, focusing on emerging approaches to strategic growth. He will be joined by Ben Martin, Director of Regeneration and Growth at Watford Borough Council and the Hertfordshire Growth Board, and Pooja Ahluwalia, Senior Policy Officer at the West Midlands Combined Authority and Health Foundation.

With extensive experience in strategic planning, this conference will draw on Prior + Partners’ work to date. This includes the Prior + Partners-founded Strategic Planning Group (SPG), whose report Planning Positively for the Future sets out seventeen recommendations for embedding SDSs at the heart of a reformed, plan-led system, and our role actively supporting authorities as they shape their long-term spatial direction, helping establish the right foundations, evidence, governance and ambition through our Place Futures workshops and collaboration with the Strategic Planning Partnership.

The event will be taking place at Pinsent Masons, 30 Crown Pl, Earl St, London EC2A 4ES from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm.
