Simon is a chartered town planner and project manager with a wide variety of UK and overseas experience. Having worked across both public and private sectors he has delivered projects at all scales from large scale strategic plans through detailed planning advisory.

As part of a comprehensive and cohesive masterplanning process for the newly identified Garden Town at Aylesbury, Simon is leading aspects of strategic planning and advisory to ensure a creative approach that engages a wide range of stakeholders and guides the overall vision and delivery plan for the Aylesbury Garden Town.

Waltham Forest Character and Intensification Study, London

Supporting the council in understanding the best way to accommodate growth and intensification in an optimised way, Simon is providing overarching project management as well as direction on the interpretation of design guidance into development management and policy.

North Essex Garden Communities, Essex

Exploring the potential to deliver up to 47,000 new homes across three Garden Communities, Simon’s is providing project management and strategic planning advice to advance masterplans for two sites to the east and west of Colchester.

Jeddah Plans, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

To accommodate population growth and improve the city’s long-term resilience, Simon helped to develop a sub-regional plan, urban policy framework, city structure plan and local level area action plans for the Jeddah Municipality.

Hackney Wick Central

For this 6 hectare employment-led, mixed-use scheme, Simon successfully helped gain outline planning consent across an area of complex ownership and infrastructure considerations that set parameters for a strong mix of new housing, creative work space and high quality public realm.

100 Resilient Cities: The Hague, Netherlands

As part of the Rockefeller Foundation’s global initiative to make 100 cities more resilient, Simon worked to explore the shocks and stresses that face The Hague to focus a series of initiatives that will drive an overall strategy for a more resilient and intelligent urban environment.

Brixton Central Masterplan Development Brief, London

To guide the delivery of regeneration and investment in Brixton, Simon worked on a development brief co-produced with local stakeholders to explore development parameters that would drive value from the land assets while also attracting inward investment and setting precedent for future development proposals.
