Prior + Partners is supporting Hertfordshire Growth Board and partners on the development of the ‘Hertfordshire Healthy Placemaking Framework’ – a county-wide tool to embed health and wellbeing into planning policy.

As part of our commission, our team facilitated a stakeholder workshop last week with officers from district, borough and county councils, representatives from the VCFSE  sector, and public health professionals from across Hertfordshire. The session focused on how the Framework can most effectively support the creation of healthier and more equitable places.

The conversation was wide ranging, reflecting the nature of planning for health. What shone through most was participants from across the county and sectors shared a collective ambition to implement a holistic approach to healthy placemaking – tackling head on the broad range of determinants in our built environment, society, economy that impact health.
