Lucas Di Gioia

Urban Designer

As an Urban Designer with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a master’s degree in Urbanism with specialised training in Infrastructure and Environmental Design from TU Delft – The Netherlands, I thrive in interpreting socio-cultural dynamics to create sustainable urban solutions. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, landscape architects, ecologists, and engineers, I can deliver high-quality design proposals that address urban and landscape challenges. My expertise has been applied in diverse projects across Brazil, The Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East.

Notably, while working with Prior and Partners, I worked on the development of the Strategic Framework Plan for Media City UK in Manchester. Emphasising quality public realm and green spaces, our design revitalizes the waterfront, aligning with the client’s vision for enhanced public spaces and a healthier environment. This experience showcases my ability to provide technical solutions that elevate social values through integrated and well-thought-out designs.

My interdisciplinary expertise, honed through international experiences, positions me to contribute significantly to addressing climate and environmental challenges. From strategic planning to urban and public realm scales, my skills deliver designs that not only meet the unique needs of each project but also contribute to a sustainable and resilient urban future. I am committed to creating environments that not only respond to immediate challenges but also prioritise long-term environmental well-being, fostering a harmonious coexistence between urban development, climate resilience, sustainability, and environmental preservation.
