Urban Designer

As an architect and urban designer, I am inspired by the layered character of design and its capacity to both respond to and shape transformation in people’s lives. I am engaged in envisioning spaces that support everyday living while fostering opportunities for interaction and connection. This approach requires that spaces be conceived not merely as functional entities, but as settings that reveal and sustain collective memory. From the domestic realm to the streets and neighbourhoods that frame our daily experiences, the urban environment embodies the narratives of its communities. I believe that acknowledging and engaging with these narratives is essential for establishing meaningful relationships between people and the urban fabric.

I am fascinated by the process of analysing a city’s layered structures, examining the interactions between its components, and observing how these interconnected elements come together to form a resilient, vibrant urban environment. During my Master’s in Housing and Urbanism at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, my exploration of housing typologies has provided me with a deeper understanding of the significance of fostering new ways of living and working—insights that form a foundation for reshaping urban life.

I am interested in exploring the potential of meanwhile projects, as they emerge within a more flexible and adaptive city, responding to the changing needs and preferences of its users. I find it particularly intriguing to see how these projects transform urban spaces into places where communities can actively shape their surroundings, turning residents from passive users into engaged contributors.
