In 2014, the City of San José adopted the Diridon Station Area Plan to create a mixed-use urban destination near public transit.
Prior + Partners have been working with Google and a talented team of consultants including Site Lab, Heatherwick Studio, Nelson Nygar, West 8, Arup, Shop Architects and many others to bring this vision to life by creating a vibrant, mixed-use urban destination next to the new Diridon intermodal transit station.
The design draws from San José’s culturally-rich history, colourful personality and innovative spirit and is guided by the principles of community, innovation, nature and economics.
The Diridon Station Area Plan will create jobs near transit, build housing alongside jobs, create opportunity pathways, connect people to nature and ,ale a place that is San José – for and by the people of San José.
